The Marathon Church of Christ has been spreading the gospel to Florida Keys residents and vacationing visitors since the 1950’s.   Additionally, we are blessed with numerous seasonal visitors who make Marathon their home for the winter months. While we may come from many different places, we join each other to praise God in worship and to study his word when we assemble here in Marathon. Come as you are and be part of the family in Marathon for a day or for a life time.

Update:  It has taken a little time to start getting things fixed back up here in Marathon and the middle Keys, but as of a few weeks ago the church building had a new roof  and the interior walls and floors are being worked on.  We have also ordered new chairs for seating and we hope to be using the assembly part of the building within a couple of months if not sooner.

The house still needs to be inspected so we are not sure how much those repairs are going to cost.  We have been staying up at our home in Homestead while we await the outcome of repairs on the house next to the church.  Tim has been traveling back and forth between Homestead and the Keys during the week and for Sunday worship.

Tim has started back with Wednesday night class and we have worship services in the family room on Sunday morning.  If you are coming to the Keys be sure to stop on in and worship with us, we would love to meet you and visit and share a great time of fellowship.

We are studying in the Psalms on Sunday morning class and the sermons have been around Jesus’ words from Matthew chapters 5, 6, and 7.  Sunday services starts with  fellowship time at 9:30 a.m., then class at 10:00 a.m., and services at 11:00 a.m.  Wednesday evenings class starts at 7:00 p.m. and we are studying out of the book of John.

If you have any questions or if you would like to donate to the hurricane disaster relief which will allow us to repair our buildings and continue to help others in our community please email us at marathonchurch@gmail.com and we can provide you with more information and the best address to send your donations.

We truly appreciate the outpouring of support that so many congregations and individuals have provided to us and want you to know that your encouragement has helped us help so many others.  We have had many come to our church for help and through the generosity of donations and with the help  of the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort Inc. we have had two semi-loads of supplies distributed and continue to help as we can.

Again –  thank you for your support, please know how much you are loved and appreciated. And please stop in when you are in the Keys.

From your Marathon Family in Christ!
